Contemporary Services in need of your help!!

We recently started asking people to be greeters before the service starts.
This task seemed to fall on Mary Keilman's hands every week and we
decided that she needed a much deserved break.  I took it on myself to
start asking others to step up and help and it seems to be working.  We
need others to step forward and volunteer to take one month and greet
our people.  The only thing we ask is that you greet them when they come
in the door, give them a bulletin, do a count of attendees, record it in the
book and to help take up collection going down the center aisle.  If you are
willing to do this please see me and we will get you a month to serve in.
Also a GREAT big Thank you and Hug to all who have already served and
please be willing to do this again

2012 Per Capita Tax Due in Jan.

2012 Per Capita tax which is assessed each congregation
is payable to Black Hawk in January of each year.  Per Capita tax is
based on church membership.  As of Jan 2011. In our case 157
members.
Per Capita assessment for 2012 is $34.41 per person broken down as
follows: GSA-$6.63; Synod-$3.81; Black-Hawk Presbytery $23.97).
Payment of your share would be appreciated. Note it for Per Capita Tax.
The deacons bought artificial poinsettias to be used to form the Christmas
tree in the sanctuary. These will be used from year to year. We are preparing
8 food baskets to be given to families in Earlville so they can have a Christmas
feast. We will also be giving them Subway gift cards. The entire church family
gave to this endeavor. The deacons appreciate your compassion and
generosity.
God bless all of you, Kay Druen
